15th August Speech 2023 (Independence Day)
Respected Chief Guest Sir, Principal Sir, All respected teachers, and all the parents present here and my dear friends, today I wish you all the best on this auspicious occasion of 15th August. As you all know that on this day our country got freedom after winning the freedom struggle from British rule. Many brave soldiers of our country had sacrificed their lives in this freedom struggle. After which we got independence in the year 1947. And since then, the day of August 15 is celebrated as a national festival every year.
India was under British rule for some time before independence on 15 August 1947. It was known as a British colony. During this, the British did a lot of atrocities on the Indian citizens, due to which the citizens opposed with the passage of time, but the situation became very bad day by day.
To suppress the demand for independence, the British rule created even worse conditions for the common people. Despite this, the freedom fighters of the country did not give up and were martyred while walking on the path of freedom. The result of the efforts of these martyrs is that today we are living in independent India.
After the independence of the country, a constitution was made by which the system of self-government was prepared in our country. So that our country will never become independent in the future. Various works were started for the development of the country. Along with this, Independence Day started being celebrated every year.
Independence day On this day the Prime Minister hoists the national flag at the Red Fort in Delhi and the President of our country issues the address to the nation. Each organizes various activities and programs in government institutions and educational institutions. And everyone actively participates in them such as – singing patriotic songs, drama, speech competitions, essay writing, etc.
Today, on this occasion, remembering all the heroes and patriots who were martyred for the country, we bow to them. Who freed the country from the British after 200 years of slavery. We have been hearing the names of some of these patriots since childhood such as – Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Mangal Pandey, Motilal Nehru, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, etc.
With the tireless efforts of freedom fighters, today we are here. Huh. Therefore, while paying tribute to all of them, we should try that we can make the India of the dreams of these fighters.
I thank all of you for giving me the opportunity to express my views and finally end my speech with these few lines.
Give a salute to this tricolor,
who is proud of you,
always keep your head high,
As long as there is life in the heart.
short speech on 15 august
Respected Chief Guest present here, Sir, Principal Sir, all the teaching staff, and my dear friends, wishing you all a good morning and a very Happy Independence Day.
This year we are celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence to mark the completion of the 75th year of independence of the country. 75 years ago from today, our country got independence on 15th August 1947. On this day all the countrymen celebrate it as a national festival. Independence is celebrated in every corner of the country.
On this day our national flag tricolor is hoisted by the Prime Minister at the Red Fort of Delhi. At the same time, the President also addresses the whole country every year on the eve of Independence Day. And a 21-gun salute is also given to the brave soldiers and patriots who gave freedom. Along with this, many programs are organized on this day in all educational institutions, government offices, etc.
Like every year, this time also we are celebrating 15th August with great pomp. The celebration of the country’s independence is being celebrated in this way this year, under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign launched by PM Modi, citizens have hoisted the tricolor at their homes. As we know from childhood that our country has been the slave of the British for 200 years. And to break the shackles of this slavery, the freedom fighters of our country made every effort and sacrificed their lives for it when needed. Today, because of his sacrifice, we have got an opportunity to live in an independent India.
On 15th August, all citizens should take a pledge that we should never let the sacrifices of our martyrs go in vain. For this, we have to pay attention to different aspects of the development of the country at our own level. So that our country can move forward on the path of development. Attention will also have to be paid to the problems which become a hindrance to the development of the country. Such as – pollution, increasing population, unemployment, etc. All these problems are somehow related to each other. If everyone starts dealing with them at their own level and continues their efforts, then soon our country will be in a better position than before.
Along with this, we also have to maintain our culture and cultural heritage. Our country is known for unity in diversity. People of different religions and cultures live here. And this is the case only in our country. In order to maintain all these even further, it is necessary that we all live together without any caste, religion or any such bondage. This will keep our country united. We need then to learn from our past how our country was fragmented on this basis when countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh were created. If we keep on separating like this, it will not be good for anyone.
In the end, I thank you all for listening to my thoughts with great patience. And with this, I end the words with these lines.
the pride of the country,
We are the children of the country.
Tricolor painted with three colors,
This is your identity.
