headmaster vacancy in bihar: Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has issued notification on Friday for the appointment of headmasters in government higher secondary schools of the state. Online application for appointment to six thousand 421 posts will start from Saturday. For this, the detailed information about the link and the application process has been uploaded on the website of the Commission . Candidates can apply online till March 28. In the event of an error in the application, the portal will remain open for correction till April 4. Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Joint Secretary cum Controller of Examinations Amarendra Kumar said that Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University, Patna, Fazil’s degree awarded by Bihar State Madrasa Education Board and Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University. The degree of Acharya issued by him will be considered as equivalent to PG.

Amarendra Kumar, Joint Secretary cum Controller of Examinations of the Commission said that it is necessary to pass PG with 50 percent marks from a recognized university. There is a relaxation of five percent for SC-ST, EBC, BC, Divyang, women and economically weaker candidates. Candidate must have passed B.Ed, B.Ed., B.Sc. Ed from a recognized institute as well as qualified in Teacher Eligibility Test in 2012 or later. Teachers of schools with permanent affiliation from Bihar Board, CBSE and ICSE will be able to apply for these posts.

Online applications have been invited by the Bihar Public Service Commission from eligible Indian citizens and residents of Bihar state for appointment to a total of 6421 (six thousand four hundred and twenty one) posts of headmasters in higher secondary schools.

2179 seats reserved for women

Women will be given the benefit of 35% horizontal reservation. Of the total seats, two thousand 179 seats are reserved for women. Reservation limit of two percent of the total posts has been given for the grandson, granddaughter, grandson, granddaughter of freedom fighters. Under this, 128 posts will be appointed.

Exam Pattern

For Principal only, there will be a written test. There will be 150 questions to be answered. There will be 100 questions from General Studies and 50 marks from BEd course. The exam will be taken on OMR sheet. One mark is allotted for each question, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong answer. No marks will be awarded if the question remains unanswered. The exam will be of two hours. In the written examination, 40 percent for general category candidates, 36.5 percent for backward class candidates, 34 percent for extremely backward class candidates and 32 percent for SC-ST, women and disabled candidates have been kept.

Posting will be done by the department in the division:

The preference regarding cadre allotment of finally successful candidates will be from the department. In this, after selection, the posting will be done on the basis of choice by the department of the respective division. Evaluation of their candidature will be done on the basis of self-declaration regarding qualification and experience of the teacher candidate.

Educational Qualifications

Should be citizen of India and a resident of Bihar State.
Must be post graduate from recognized university with at least 50% marks. For the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Extremely Backward Class/Backward Class/Persons with disabilities/women and Economically Backward Class, 5% relaxation shall be given in the minimum required marks. The degree of ‘Fazil’ and the degree of ‘Aacharya granted from the Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic & Persian University, Patna/Bihar State Madarsa Education Board and Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University respectively shall be treated as equivalent to the Post graduation.
Must be B.Ed/B.A.Ed./B.Sc. Ed. From recognized institution.

Experience Requirement

Minimum 10 Years of continuous service on the post of Secondary Teacher in State
Government School under Panchayati Raj Institution or Muncipal Body Institution.
Minimum 12 Years of continuous service on the post of Secondary Teacher in School having permanent affiliation from C.B.S.EA.C.S.E./B.S.E.B.
Minimum 08 Years of continuous service on the post of Senior Secondary Teacher in State Government School under Panchayati Raj Institution or Muncipal Body Institution.
Minimum 10 Years of continuous service on the post of Senior Secondary Teacher in School having permanent affiliation from C.B.S.E/I.C.S.E/B.S.E.B.
The calculation of experience shall be made on the basis of date of joining or from the date of acquiring training qualification, whichever is later.

Note:- All certificates related to educational qualification and experience should be issued before the last date of filling online application – 28.03.2022, otherwise the candidature of the candidate will be cancelled.

Bihar Headmaster vacancy Age Limit

The minimum and maximum age limit will not be fixed separately for teachers working under Panchayati Raj Institutions and Municipal Institutions.

CBSE/ICSE/BSEB For teachers working in affiliated schools, as on 01.08.2021, the minimum age of 31 years and maximum 47 years, for teachers in the reserved category, relaxation in the upper age limit as provided by the General Administration Department, Government of Bihar will be given. The age of superannuation is fixed at 60 years.

Government servants of the Government of Bihar (regularly appointed Government servants of the Government of Bihar), who have completed three years of continuous service, in the light of the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, Bihar Resolution No.-2374, dated 16.07.2007. Relaxation of 05 (five) years is admissible in the upper age limit for moving to the service/cadre of higher pay scale. In the event of a Government servant of the Government of Bihar claiming relaxation in the age limit, it will be mandatory to submit the certificate issued by the competent authority.
(ii) In the light of the General Administration Department, Bihar’s Resolution No.-962, dated-22.01.2021, relaxation in upper age limit is admissible to the disabled candidates.
(iii) In the light of Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, Bihar’s letter-2447, dated- 06.03.1990; Ex-servicemen will be given relaxation in age limit of 03 (three) years and equivalent to the sum of the period of service spent in Defense Service, provided their actual age does not exceed 53 years as on the date of application.

Bihar Headmaster Vacancy Selection Process:

Written exam:

The written examination will be conducted by the commission for the selection of deserving candidates for appointment against the advertised posts. This exam will be of 150 questions, which will be objective multiple choice, in which General Studies – 100 marks and B.Ed. The examination of 50 marks related to the course will be taken on the OMR sheet (OMR). Each question carries one mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. If the question remains unanswered, zero marks will be awarded. The duration of the exam will be of 02 (two) hours.
Interview: There will be no interview.
According to the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, Bihar’s Resolution No.-2374, dated-16.07.2007 and letter– 6706, dated-01.10.2008, 40% of the general category candidates included in the written examination, backward class candidates It will be mandatory for the candidates to obtain minimum qualifying marks of 36.5%, 34% for extremely backward class candidates and 32% for SC / ST, women and disabled (Divyang) candidates.
The preference regarding cadre allotment from the finally successful candidates will be obtained by the Department. After the selection of successful candidates, the selected candidates will be posted on the basis of merit-cumchoice by the department in the respective division.
The evaluation of their candidature will be done on the basis of self-declaration regarding qualification and experience by the teacher candidate in the online application form advertised by the Commission. This certificate will also be given by the teachers working in schools other than the state government schools that they have received their salary through bank account in the prescribed period and the evidence of this is available at their level. In the applications received in the light of the advertisement of the Commission, action will be taken to conduct the examination by considering the claims of educational qualification, experience and other qualifications by the candidates as true. After sending the provisional merit list prepared by the Commission to the Education Department, after checking the veracity of the claim made by the candidates in the qualification application, the department will take action for the appointment at its level. After verification of the applicant’s claim and the documents submitted by him, the administration/education department can modify the merit list.
