Selection Procedure

Stage-I (CGCAT)

The Time Duration For the Paper is 2 Hours.
Stage-II Preliminary Selection Board (PSB)
After qualifying in Stage I, the candidate will be called for Stage II. In Stage II, 2 tests will be taken from the candidate. Computerized Cognitive Battery Test (CCBT) and Picture Perception and Discussion (PP&DT). The test of CCBT will be conducted in English and the questions will be objective type.
Candidates can also speak in Hindi for picture comprehension and discussion. But if he speaks in English then it is better. The Stage II paper will be of qualifying nature.
Stage III: Final Selection Board (FSB).
After qualifying for Stage II the candidate will be called for Stage III (Final Selection Board). This paper will be held in the Cost Guard Selection Board located in Noida. Like SSB, this will also be a 5-day paper. In this test, the candidate’s Psychological Test, Group Task, Interview, and Personality Test will be taken. In this, the candidate will have to carry all the original documents with him.
Stage-IV (Medical Examination).
All the candidates who qualify in Stage III will be called for Medical Test. This test will be held at Base Hospital, New Delhi. If the result of the medical test comes unfit, then the candidate will get 42 days’ time to become fit. After 42 days that candidate will be re-tested and this time if the candidate is fit then he/she will pass the medical test.
