CTET kya hota hai | What is CTET?
CTET, or Central Teacher Eligibility Test, is a national-level examination conducted in India by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers. CTET is held twice a year and it is for the teachers who want to teach from classes 1-8.
There are two types of CTET exams including Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is given by the candidates who are planning to teach from classes 1-5. Candidates who are planning to teach from classes 5-8 appear for Paper 2. The mode of examination for CTET is offline, and it is conducted for 150 minutes.
Languages used in the test include English and Hindi. CTET is conducted in more than 112 cities across India. The admit card for the exam is issued approximately three weeks before the date of the exam. CTET Exam 2022 is likely to be held in July. However, the board has not yet made an official announcement. Candidates can visit the official website to check notifications on upcoming exam dates.

CTET Application Form 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Primary Stage (Class I to V)
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- a year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- a year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
OR
“Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)”
“(a) who has acquired the qualification or Bachelor of Education from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatory undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as a primary teacher”.
Elementary Stage (Class VI to VIII)
Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year BA/B.Sc. B.Ed or BABEd/B.Sc. B.Ed
OR

CTET 2022 Selection Process
All the questions in CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four options out of which one answer will be most appropriate.
Each carries one mark and there will be no negative marking.
There will be two papers of CTET.
(i) Paper I will be for the person who wants to become a teacher of classes I to V.
(ii) Paper II will be for the person who wants to become a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
