The scheme was launched by Union Minister Piyush Goyal and Anurag Thakur on 6 October 2021. Through this scheme, 7 Mega Textile Parks will be set up in different states of the country. Through the PM Mitra scheme, work from weaving, spinning, processing, dyeing, and printing to the manufacturing of clothes will be done in one place.
