Apana Dham-Apana Kaam-Apana-Name Scheme Start

Apna Dham-Apna Kaam-Apna Naam scheme was started in the year 2008. This scheme was started so that the vacant lands falling under the temples can be re-used by renovating them. Under this scheme, the vacant land is also being properly utilized.

Purpose of Apna Dham-Apna Kaam-Apna Naam scheme

The main objective of this scheme of the Devasthan Department is to make religious/social or cultural use/consumption-usable by getting renovated or reconstructed with public participation on vacant lands/useless properties of temples so that that land can be utilized properly.

Apna Dham-Apna Kaam-Apna Naam Scheme Eligibility

Participation in this scheme can be done through trusts registered under the Rajasthan Public Trust Act, in which the representative of Devasthan Department will also be as trustee.
The details of vacant lands/unutilized assets available under this scheme are available at Appendix ‘A’ (Temple estates marked by Devasthan Department).
In this scheme, new construction/reconstruction on vacant lands/unusable properties can be done only for social, religious and cultural activities, all the activities at the above places will be according to religious sentiments.
In this scheme, the construction done by the builder trust will be considered as a gift of the temple, but the builder trust will have the right to operate / manage for the permitted use / consumption on the prescribed conditions for a maximum period of 30 years.
The construction structure constructed in this plan will be named after the departmental approval as per the proposal of the Trust.
The unutilized properties of the Devasthan Department can be given to the registered trusts on the basis of Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) or Maintenance-Operate-Transfer (MOT) for a fixed period.
If in addition to the construction of religious / social / public interest works on public trust leased land, commercial purpose construction is also done, then the lease period of such commercial property will be maximum 5 years.
If the leased agricultural land is later converted for non-agricultural purposes, the ownership of that land will still be with the temple idol.
The public trusts to whom land will be given on lease can also be entrusted with the work of other works related to the facilities of the visitors such as arrangement of drinking water, handling of footwear, accessible toilets etc., if necessary.

If your charitable public trust is not registered, get it registered. For this, contact the office of the concerned Assistant Commissioner, Devasthan.
Select the land/estate from the vacant land/estate mentioned in Appendix ‘A’ (temple estates marked by Devasthan Department).
Make your plan for the social/religious/cultural purpose of the selected vacant land/estate along with the map of the proposed construction. Also prepare a plan for the cost of this construction.
Prepare an estimate of the capital required for construction and the capital required for operation.
After this, you should attach the application in triplicate to the Commissioner, Devasthan Department.
